After effects PT2

I have decided to use an after effect on my title ad one where Phoebe has picked up the phone to look at the message from some one unknown (stalker). 1. Title: Here I added an after effect of layering a textured photo behind the words so it is not just a plain colour. Then I added the effect of the the title zooming out since it is the end of the short film and could foreshadow what could have happened later in the film where the intruder/stalker kills the girl. On top of this I have added a glitch effect to connote to the phone being a main prop. 2. Glitch over phoebe: I added at glitch effect over phoebe when she receives the message of herself and is very frightened.

Downtown Abbey representative essay

This short Downtown Abbey clip taken from the first episode of the first season is a TV Drama series which shows the core media representation group of class and status. The opening scenes of this film show the contrast between the working class of the workers and maids as well as the wealthy class who represent power and authority. The four technical elements of sound, editing, camera-work and Mise - en scene are used together to construct meaning in which this drama series engages the audience throughout the tone and mood seen. The audiences are engaged on many levels such as the hard work shown by the maids. The audience can tell they are hard-working by their costumes, how they are portrayed and how they are treated which will be further explained later on in the essay. Firstly, sound is a very important technical element as it helps the audience get a better understanding of what is happening through the use of tone in dialogue and by hearing what type of music is playing in t...

PEER RESPONSE:  GOOD: Nice music  Sound effects are good like the onions and breathing Good establishing shots Nice sound Good handheld shots Good sound effects of intruder walking WORK ON: Change title so its not on the establishing shots Make the starting shots more longer to match the eerie music Build to quicker shots Fades don't really add up to it so change the transitions Play with music around the end of the film and middle when it's more intense Some shots are too long Sound is muffled in the dialogue scene. MY RESPONSE: I   will keep my music the same but I will add more upbeat, sharp music during the moments where it is supposed to sound more intense. I will change some of my transitions instead of fades make them quick shots near the end. Take out the shot of phoebe putting the knife down as its not continuous  Change the cross fades near the end to quick shots Maybe take out the shot of the intruder grabbing phoebe and have the title of...

PT2 filming process

KPM PRODUCTIONS PT2 FILMING: We managed to get all of our filming done in the holidays on the night of Thursday the 29th of April. The shooting took place at night time at my house in Coatesville. Everybody involved in the filming process: our talent, Niav Rice and Phoebe Armitage as well as the KPM Productions group, Mele, Kevin and I all meet at my house at 6:30pm to start filming.  Most things went according to plan while filming and we got all of our shots done in around an hour since we were filming at one location.  However, we did not get the microphone to attach to the camera so our filming has no sound when we look back on the shots on the computer. Instead of re-filming these shots which didn't catch sound I have filmed Phoebe who acted as Molly saying our only dialogue which is " What the heck, who is this" which is 2 lines of dialogue. We will put this sound behind the shot when she is supposed to say it and this will work because in the shot you cant ful...

Rationale for PT2

RATIONALE FOR PT2 FILM: SCENE 1: Scene one starts with an establishing shot of the house. The camera will be panning and moving towards the house very slowly for a solid few seconds for the audience to know the location and to set the scene of the film. This establishing shot will be a wide shot to show most of the front of the house and to see a light coming from the kitchen but not showing the Girl Molly in the house. At this point all the audience knows is the setting of the film and that it is night time by the night lights and low lighting. For this establishing shot I will set up the lighting kit behind and around the camera not so they are seen in the shot but so it helps the camera get better quality of the house since it is night time and the quality can be a little bit foggy or blurry. In the establishing shot the bushes and trees will be seen in the corner foreshadowing the use of the bush for something suspicious. This scenes camera will be hand held while moving closer to ...
