Film schedule

FILM SCHEDULE: We are going to be filming at my house in Coatesville. This adds to the tension and suspense because of the low lighting it will have at night and the bushes surrounding the house. We are hoping to film in the holidays in week two on a day that everyone including our talent is free. We will be shooting at night and all of the scenes to shoot will take up to a few hours considering we need at least 3 or 4 shots of each scene so we can look and watch them and choose the best one we like while editing and importing our videos. UPDATE: We are filming on the 29th of April 2021 at 6:30 pm in Coatesville. We are all meeting at my house in Coatesville and starting setting up at 6:30, we will start filming at 7 and finish before 10pm.  Written by Porcia

Mood boards for PT2 and inspiration

INSPIRATION: some inspiration for our film 'ready or not', is from the movie Hush. The character in the movie Hush is a psychopath so the intruder/ Night stalker in our film 'ready of not' is also a psychopath. Our film is a psychological thriller. In the movie hush the stalker appears at night time wish adds to the suspense and tension. The girl is also home alone so from this we can get a lot of inspiration from the movie along with a lot of inspirational photos, angles and compositions as well as lighting.  In the film the intruder is right behind her and she doesn't notice that is how we got the idea to leave the back door open where the intruder entered the house and the intruder standing behind the girl without her noticing.  MOOD BOARD FOR OUR MOVIE INSPIRATION:  Moodboard Photo Collage by porcia armitage MOOD BOARD FOR LOCATION AND SETTING: Its night time and a girl is home alone inside cooking. PT2 sub genre for Ready or not film

SUB-GENRE FOR 'READY OR NOT' FILM: Our film is a psychological thriller.  Here is definition of psychological thriller from google chrome: Psychological thriller is a genre combining the thriller and psychological fiction genres. It is commonly used to describe movies and books that deal with psychological narratives in a thriller or thrilling setting. In terms of context and convention, it is a subgenre of the broader ranging thriller narrative structure, with similarities to Gothic and detective fiction in the sense of sometimes having a "dissolving sense of reality". It is often told through the viewpoint of psychologically stressed characters, revealing their  distorted mental perceptions  and focusing on the complex and often tortured relationships between obsessive and pathological characters. Psychological thrillers often incorporate elements of mystery, drama, action, and paranoia. The genre is closely related to and sometimes overlaps with the psychological h...

Brainstorms for PT2

Image
BRAINSTORM FOR PT2: Our idea is a girl named Molly is home alone cooking dinner. She is in her own home by herself and it it dark/ night time. Among her in the bushes outside stands a bug buff intruder called Richard also known as the 'night stalker'. He stands and stares at her cooking. The intruder picks up his phone and takes a photo of her cooking, he sends it to her and she gets a text from an unknown number which is a photo of her. Obviously she is frightened and confused. Molly suddenly hears knocking and banging on the door so she naturally picks up the knife and slowly ascends to the back door where the banging and knocking is coming from. The wind gusts as she approached the slightly opened door with no one in sight. Over the shoulder of Molly inside stands a man, an intruder. Without even noticing he has entered the house Molly turns her head to see the tall bust man in a big black hoodie standing right behind her. His face is not seen and remains a mystery of the ni...

PT2 my original thoughts for the thriller

ORIGINAL LIST FOR THRILLER IDEAS: Kidnapping with a knife or weapon of some sort Strange events leading up to something- could be several murders and we don't know who it is Someone thinks they are guilty but they are not Someone witnesses a murder but before they say who the murderer is they get killed Power outage in a home then out of no where there is a psychopath You are a therapist and patient explains her past the camera enters her mind with black and white You live alone and every morning you wake up and something is different  The film starts off with someone running in the dark forest they forget why running cause dementia You live alone and get a text from random number and its a photo of you For our thriller "READY OR NOT" we decided to go for a mix between number 9 and number 1.  We are doing a mix between a girl home alone cooking and gets a random text from random number of a photo of her cooking. We will mix this idea with a kidnapping at the end. A knife ...
